Zülpich: Flügel von Windrad abgerissen

[A wind turbine was severely damaged in Zülpich on Tuesday night. One blade is completely broken off, a second one only partially attached. Pieces of debris flew several hundred meters. Second wind turbine razed, marking end of Falmouth renewable energy project

The second Falmouth wind turbine came crashing down on Wednesday morning. The boom from the crash sounded like thunder. There were very few onlookers. Video captures massive wind turbine demolition in Falmouth

Two wind turbines owned by the Town of Falmouth were to be demolished after they were ordered to be taken down following legal action taken by people who live there. ‘It just disintegrated’: Lightning strike sparks massive wind turbine fire in North Texas

CROWELL, Texas – A lightning storm caused quite a shocking scene after it zapped a massive wind turbine in North Texas, setting it ablaze before it came tumbling down. Peat slide at Viking’s Mid Kames site but SSE says ‘area is safe’

A Sustainable Shetland campaigner has expressed concerns after a peat slide at Viking’s Mid Kames site last week. Texas tornado takes down wind turbines

The wind was too strong. Meteorologist Payton Malone shared a photo on social media that shows the impact a Texas tornado had on several wind turbines this week. Texas reported 18 tornados this week as a line of storms pushed through and apparently, one of the tornados in North Texas took out the turbines. Basin Electric fells decommissioned wind turbine near Minot

The 154-ton wind tower hit the ground south of Minot with a loud boom as traffic whizzed by on nearby U.S. Highway 83 Monday. It was the planned and coordinated demolition of one of the oldest wind towers in North Dakota to feed the electrical grid.  A demolition crew from Minnesota began working Monday morning to set up cables and cut into the blue tower pedestal, using the “chop and drop” method to eventually bring the tower down like falling . . .
