Last night [Jan. 22] I attended a meeting of our local energy awareness group at which VPIRG [Vermont Public Interest Research Group] presented their arguments for the dismantling of Vt. Congress wrong in providing “stimulus” money for wind energy
As you have probably heard, the US House has unveiled a $800 billion “stimulus” bill that includes extension of the wind production tax credit for 3 years and would provide billions in direct grants to “wind farm” owners. If you are offended by this action, please consider giving your views forcefully to your Congressman, Senators, Newspapers, TV and anyone else whose email or fax address or telephone number that you have. NY Overestimating Economic Benefits of Iberdrola’s $2 billion Investment in NY “Wind Farms”
Why Are NY Political and Media Leaders Grossly Overestimating the Economic Benefits of Iberdrola’s Insistence on Investing $2 billion in NY “Wind Farms”? New York political and media leaders are grossly overestimating the favorable local and state economic benefit that would result from Iberdrola’s proposed investment of $2 billion in “wind farms” in New York.
