Industrial wind turbines are being proposed in your community
Industrial wind turbines are being proposed in your community. It may seem like a great opportunity but many people regret signing contracts, others regret not having fought them off and others have fought them off. These are the issues you should educate yourself on. 1. Property values Not many people want to live within an industrial installation so the value of your home will be diminished severely. The Berkley study they will bring out is flawed. 2. Electromagnetic and frequency . . .

A ‘No’ Vote at Lowell Town Meeting, March 2
To the people of Lowell: Attending all the informational meetings in Lowell concerning the current effort to erect 400 foot wind turbines, covering several miles of the Lowell Mountain ridge line, leaves me troubled by the questions that have not been answered – perhaps not even asked yet. When we meet as a community we should always look at that underlying question; How will we offer our children and grandchildren a life, here in our towns, with a decent standard . . .

New York’s taxpayers and electric customers are facing a serious threat: Iberdrola, the Spanish company that wishes to acquire Energy East and its electric and gas distribution subsidiaries is insisting that it will “walk away from” the deal if it is not permitted to build “wind farms” in New York. High-powered New York political, business, labor and media leaders (including Governor Paterson and Senator Schumer) are working to get members of the NY State Public Utility Commission (NYS PSC) to . . .
The Noise Heard ’Round the World — the trouble with industrial wind turbines
Even though the facts tell a different story, people who stand to profit from industrial wind turbines continue to insist there is no problem with the noise and other troubles associated with living too close to a machine that is 40 stories tall with spinning blades that span wider than a Boeing 747. They tell us there is no proof that living 1000 feet from an industrial wind turbine is bad for you in any way. There is plenty of . . .
