On 9 June Polish Senate approved the bill providing for mandatory setbacks of new wind farm developments from residential housing, which had already been passed by the Lower House several weeks ago. To become law, the legislation must now be signed by Polish President Andrzej Duda and officially published. The law is expected to come into effect as from 1 July 2016. The John Muir Trust and the University of Leeds Wild Land Research Institute have produced an animation showing the dramatic change in Scotland’s landscape over the past 20 years as a result of the proliferation of wind turbines. The Den Brook Judicial Review Group (DBJRG) regrets that the need has arisen to publicly issue the Den Brook wind farm developer, Renewable Energy Systems (RES), with a pre-action protocol Notice of Intent to establish both audible EAM and sub-audible infra-sound noise monitoring.
