In response to Coillte’s planning application to Leitrim/Sligo Counties
OUTRAGED RURAL COMMUNITY ACCUSES Semi State COILLTE of GOLIATH v DAVID–style BULLYING TACTICS Local community group, WIND AWARE DROMAHAIR, claims that Coillte representatives assured them in 2018 that their proposed Croagh Windfarm, of GIANT wind turbines, would be fully compliant with the new, albeit still draft, Planning Guidelines. It now transpires that their application to Leitrim and Sligo County Councils is based on the 2006 Guidelines, described some years ago by former Environment Minister Denis Naughten as “manifestly unfit for . . .

« Energy & Truth » wants to influence the debate on energy.
The Collective « Energie et Vérité » (Energie & Truth) was launched on February 22 in Paris, on the initiative of personalities, scientific experts, economists, environment officials. Those persons share the same values concerning the truth about energy, which is one of most important sectors for development in France. This group is determined to put forward arguments free of any ideology, to analyse the studies published, to sort the truth. And to let it be known. The statement assessed by this group . . .
Polish Parliament adopts mandatory setback – 10 times turbine height – for industrial wind turbines
On 9 June Polish Senate approved the bill providing for mandatory setbacks of new wind farm developments from residential housing, which had already been passed by the Lower House several weeks ago. To become law, the legislation must now be signed by Polish President Andrzej Duda and officially published. The law is expected to come into effect as from 1 July 2016. This new regulation affects rural communities in a number of important ways: future wind farms may be sited . . .

New animation reveals the spreading visual impact of wind turbines on Scotland’s landscape
The John Muir Trust and the University of Leeds Wild Land Research Institute have produced an animation showing the dramatic change in Scotland’s landscape over the past 20 years as a result of the proliferation of wind turbines. The animation is based on a series of maps that illustrate the extent of Scotland’s land area from which wind turbines are potentially visible. It includes both built and consented wind turbines above 20 metres tall, and excludes applications still in the . . .
Judicial Review Group Serves Notice on Den Brook Wind Farm Developer
The Den Brook Judicial Review Group (DBJRG) regrets that the need has arisen to publicly issue the Den Brook wind farm developer, Renewable Energy Systems (RES), with a pre-action protocol Notice of Intent to establish both audible EAM and sub-audible infra-sound noise monitoring. The need has arisen due to continued disingenuous responses and malfeasant submissions from the developer and its agents. This has been the case throughout DBJRG’s longstanding efforts for obtaining effective conditions and controls to properly protect neighbours . . .
Reliable information on wind power is important & The road to ruin
The people of Scotland deserve the real truth regarding the costs, to them, of Renewables. If the general public realised how hard the SNP government’s policy on wind farms was (and already is) going to impact their health and hit them in the pocket from so many different sources for NO energy security, NO affordable energy bills and NO guaranteed reduction in CO2 emissions, would they continue to go along with what they are being told by this government and . . .
