Massive fire destroys wind turbine in Adair County

A massive fire destroyed a wind turbine and burned a large farm field in Adair County Tuesday morning. The fire burned so hot it destroyed the 22-story tall structure. Scroby Sands wind turbine fire off Norfolk coast

A fire on an offshore wind turbine has self extinguished [sic], its owner has said. Rexville farmers continue to pay price for wind turbine fire

The now infamous and catastrophic fire at the Eight Point Wind facility in West Union NY littered fiberglass debris over a wide area as it burned. Lightning strike likely caused wind turbine fire: company

Lightning likely sparked a wind turbine fire in Muirkirk, east of Chatham, Thursday night, a company official says. Another wind turbine bursts out in flames

Just two weeks after a turbine fire near Goderich, another turbine has gone up in flames. This time Thursday evening in Muirkirk, about 50 minutes southwest of London. Object flies off of ‘out of service’ wind turbine on Deer Island, prompting closure to public accessway

Officials believe an object that was seen hanging from then flying off of a wind turbine on Deer Island may have been the result of strong winds and a broken braking mechanism.
