Scroby Sands wind turbine fire off Norfolk coast
A fire on an offshore wind turbine has self extinguished [sic], its owner has said. A plume of black smoke was seen billowing from the Scroby Sands wind farm, 1.5 miles (2.5km) off the coast of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. HM Coastguard said the alarm was raised at 10:50 BST on Tuesday and that all personnel had been accounted for following an evacuation. Windmill on fire near Mahanoy City Monday afternoon
Fire crews are responding to a windmill on fire near Mahanoy City. Just after 2:45pm, emergency personnel from Mahanoy City and Mahanoy Township were called to the windmill farm along Brandonville Road, Mahanoy Township for a windmill on fire. The black smoke from the fire could be seen as far as Frackville with Schuylkill County 911 reporting that they received multiple calls on it. Einsatz für die Feuerwehr: Die Wehrmänner müssen ein brennendes Windrad löschen. Eine Windkraftanlage hat am Samstag gegen 10.20 Uhr in Rein in Taufers (Gemeinde Sand in Taufers) Feuer gefangen.
