Greenwich residents unite: ‘We are awake now’

The fight is not over. Residents know they have a battle on their hands, but they haven’t given up in their opposition to a windpark in their community. On Monday, the Ohio Power Siting Board approved the Greenwich Windpark, LLC. Turbine protest winds up Liberal Party lunch

Anti-wind farm protesters greeted NSW Premier Mike Baird and Planning Minister Pru Goward as they arrived for a Liberal Party lunch in Goulburn last Friday. The group of Southern Tablelands residents were protesting against the proposed Jupiter Wind Farm at Tarago, and were joined by landholders affected by the Collector and Gullen Range wind farms. Geen draagvlak voor windmolens in Gelderse Voorst

[No support for wind turbines in Gelderse Voorst] Het gemeentebestuur van het Gelderse Voorst wil niet dat er windmolens komen binnen de gemeente. Pricey VA wind turbines around U.S. remain idle

Visions of a national wind energy bonanza have been a costly mirage for the Department of Veterans Affairs, even after five years of work and more than $3.7 million spent. A Times investigation found the department has little to show for its coast-to-coast attempt at wind energy development. Another lawsuit looms over the Orangeville Wind Farm

Nearly 60 Wyoming County residents have filed multiple lawsuits against the Invenergy wind energy company for lost quality of life and property value in relation to the Orangeville Wind Farm. Papers were filed in early-August with the State Supreme Court in Wyoming County. Attorney Richard Lippes, of Lippes & Lippes in Buffalo, is representing the residents, who primarily come from Orangeville. Disgust at wind farm boss’ rant against gays and disabled

The boss of a renewable energy company which is investing millions in the Highlands has apologised for making a series of offensive comments about gays and disabled people on social media. ABO Wind UK manager Matt Braund referred on Facebook to “homsexual [sic] retarded” sportsmen, urged lesbians to stop looking like men, and described singer Cheryl Cole as a “spastic”.
