Het gemeentebestuur van het Gelderse Voorst wil niet dat er windmolens komen binnen de gemeente.
Dit antwoordde het college op vragen vanuit de gemeenteraad, zo schrijft De Stentor.
Volgens het college zijn er geen geschikte locaties voor windmolens in het gebied, hoewel er ook wordt aangeven “dat binnen het huidige bestuur weinig draagvlak bestaat voor windenergie”.
Deze boodschap is ook overgebracht naar de lokale energiecoöperatie die nu onderzoek doet naar plekken voor andere energiebronnen. of er plek is voor andere energiebronnen.
Eerder deed de energiecoöperatie nog onderzoek naar de mogelijkheden van windenergie in de gemeente. Toen benadrukte de organisatie al dat draagvlak het belangrijkste is.
