Wind turbine catches fire in Williamsburg early Monday morning
A wind turbine caught fire early Monday morning in Williamsburg, leading to a field fire as well. The Williamsburg Fire Department says they were sent to the 1700 block of 230th Street around 12:40 am Monday. When crews arrived on the scene they saw the head of the turbine fully engulfed in flames. Wind turbine destroyed after catching fire on industrial estate in Yorkshire
A wind turbine has suffered extensive damage after catching fire in Hull this morning. The turbine stands on the Sutton Fields industrial estate in the north of the city. It caught fire at around 7am and the flames spread to a nearby area of grassland. Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are receiving multiple calls regarding a fire involving the wind turbine on Oak Road fields between Clough Road and Sutton Fields in Hull. Hull wind turbine fire witnesses feared blades would collapse during ferocious blaze
Witnesses working near a blazing wind turbine have told how they were worried the eight tonne blades would collapse on top of them. Large plumes of smoke and fire could be seen emerging from the 125 metre tall wind turbine at the former Croda factory in Oak Road, in north Hull on Wednesday morning shortly after 7am. Wind turbine blaze sends smoke billowing across Hull – live updates
A wind turbine has caught fire this morning sending smoke billowing across a large area of Hull. A significant plume of smoke could be seen rising from the distinctive turbine at the former Croda International plc site this morning shortly after 7am. Blade falls off wind turbine in Gloucester
A spokesperson for Applied Materials on Dory Road said it is investigating what caused a 160-foot blade to fall off the wind turbine in the Blackburn Industrial Park sometime overnight Saturday to Sunday morning. The city announced Sunday evening Great Republic Drive had reopened to traffic that afternoon after the company assured it was safe to do so. Windmill fire sparks concern in Luzerne County
BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Fire Crews responded to a wind turbine engulfed in flame, at a wind farm, Saturday morning. According to the Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department (BCFD), crews were dispatched to Bear Creek Wind Park on Bald Mountain Road around 9:15 a.m. for a report of a wind turbine on fire. Wind turbine disintegrates in Texas after a lightning strike
CROWELL, Texas – A North Texas wind farm is one turbine down thanks to what officials believe was a devastating lightning strike to one of the massive structures on Friday afternoon. Videos from witnesses and firefighters showed the wind turbine generator ablaze and disintegrate in the sky over Crowell, Texas. Clean energy?
If you drive from Lake Wilson through the country towards the hills of Chandler and west to Edgerton, you will see a large wind tower re-powering project taking place. Allete Clean Energy Company is in the process of re-powering and expanding the Chanarambie and Viking Wind projects in Murray County. These wind farms became operational in the early 2000s. Tractor motorcade makes point
Farmers and landholders rallied with a convoy of tractors to protest against the proposed Mumblin wind farm. Farmers took about 15 tractors adorned with signs such as “No Wind Farms Here,” and “No Turbines Near our Homes” to the Ecklin community hall on Saturday where the windfarm proponents were holding drop-in meetings with local residents.
