Danish officials to join discussion on Capital Region offshore wind cluster

ALBANY – The Danish Embassy is expected to participate in an online discussion on the offshore wind industry with Capital Region business and civic leaders next month.
The Center for Economic Growth in in Albany is hosting the April 13 event, called the Capital Region Offshore Wind Virtual Summit, which will take place via Zoom from 9:30 to noon that day.
The Port of Albany is expecting to host a wind turbine tower assembly facility on land it is acquiring in Glenmont along the Hudson River. The facility could be one of many that support the offshore wind industry, fueling hope a business “cluster.”
