A fallen giant: Wind turbine comes down following Friday fire

Jamie Hall, Ada village administrator, provided the Icon with several photos of the Ohio Northern University wind turbine that caught on fire early Friday morning.

Here’s what we know about the fire today:
Ada-Liberty Township Fire Department was called to a wind turb fire reported at 4:31 a.m., Friday morning (March 26), according to the Ada police report.
The turbine at Klingler Road and County Road 50 is one of three on the Ohio Northern University campus.
According to Northern Review @NorthernOnLine, Klingler Road and part of the “Green Monster” were temporarily blocked off as crews attempted to put out the blaze.
According to the police report seven vehicle responded to the fire, including one patrol car and an EMS vehicle.
