Wind turbine catches fire in rural Jesup

Crews responded to wind turbine fire at a farm in rural Jesup Sunday morning.
It happened not long before 11 a.m. along Independence Avenue. Firefighters were able to knock down the flames quickly. Crews did remain on scene for a time to monitor the situation for possible reignition.
A cause for the fire was not given and no injuries were reported.
