Plans to construct a wind farm with 15 turbines near a Borders town are set to be proposed.
E Power Limited will apply for planning permission to build the wind farm at Ditcher Law, approximately 8km from Lauder.
If built, the turbines will stand at a maximum height of 220 metres.
The company has submitted a letter to the Scottish Government, stating their intention to submit an application to build the wind farm.
The letter formally requests a ‘scoping opinion’ from Scottish ministers which would outline the effects of the proposed development on the environment.
That ‘scoping opinion’ will then form the basis of an Environmental Impact Assessment report which will be submitted to Scottish Borders Council.
