Zoekactie vermiste monteur gaat door

De zoekactie naar een vermiste monteur na een brand in de nok van een windmolen in het Zuid-Hollandse Ooltgensplaat is dinsdagavond nog volop gaande. De buitenkant wordt met behulp van een kraan bekeken. Onderzocht wordt nog of het veilig genoeg is de windmolen in te gaan, meldt een politiewoordvoerder.
De brand woedde in een windmolen aan de Mariadijk op zo’n tachtig meter hoogte. Volgens de politiewoordvoerder is de brand nagenoeg uit.
Waardoor de brand is ontstaan, is nog onbekend. Vier monteurs waren bij de windmolen aan het werk toen de brand uitbrak. Twee van hen wisten zich in veiligheid te brengen. Twee anderen waren bovenin de windmolen aan het werk. Naast de toren bleek het lichaam van een slachtoffer te liggen. Vermoedelijk is dit slachtoffer gevallen.
