New England wind power: Industry leaders head for Portland, Maine to tackle top regional issues

PORTLAND, Maine – Wind industry leaders will head to Portland, Maine next week for the AWEA Regional Wind Energy Summit – New England. Featuring top wind industry leaders of the Northeast, the Summit will include compelling discussion on the challenges and growth potential associated with developing clean, affordable, homegrown wind power in the northeastern United States. Other topics driving the conversation at the Summit will include:
– In-depth market overviews and policy updates
– Growth strategies and demand drivers for wind power in the New England region
– Potential job growth and economic development opportunity from wind energy
– Critical issues related to siting and wildlife
