KINGSVILLE, Ont. – Council affirmed its stance against wind turbines in Lake Erie Monday night.
Gord Meuser of Citizens Against Lake Erie Wind Turbines came to Kingsville council asking for support against turbines in Pigeon Bay south of Leamington and Kingsville only because both councils have new members after October’s, municipal election.
SouthPoint Wind wants to put more than 700 wind turbines offshore in lakes Erie and St. Clair. The citizen group is focused on fighting a proposal to start with 15 offshore turbines in Pigeon Bay.
