Trent Hills – The municipality will closely monitor the development of wind turbine farms across the region, says Mayor Hector Macmillan.
But with a municipal election only a few weeks away, the municipality won’t be making any immediate changes to its bylaws or building fees, Macmillan said.
“Certainly our planning department will be keeping an eye on this issue as it develops,” he said.
His comments came after a presentation by Asphodel-Norwood Township resident Debbie Lynch, who brought her message about the possible negative impacts of wind farms to Trent Hills council Tuesday night.
