Not in anyone’s backyard

Re: Small communities howling over wind turbines

Business, July 9

This article on the proposed wind turbine project in Innisfil was misleading. The height of the proposed towers is not 100 ft. but will be well over 350 ft. This project does not have the support of Innisfil council or most of its residences. This is not a case of NIMBY; it is a case of “not in anyone’s backyard.”

Wind energy has noise problems and other health issues associated with it. There are many locations in Ontario where wind projects can be located and not destroy the lives of people who live near them.
