RES aim to drastically change all-important amplitude modulation (AM) noise conditions
A long-threatened planning application obviously aimed to demolish our unprecedented noise planning condition has been submitted to the West Devon Borough Council. It is now perfectly clear that corporate developer Renewable Energy Systems’ (RES) primary intent is for protecting corporate welfare rather than the well-being of local communities surrounding the proposed nine 120 metres (394 feet) high Den Brook wind turbines. For more than 18 months we have been cajoled with specious evidence of false positives, threats of unenforceability and . . .
Airriequhillart Wind Farm Protest
We oppose the Scottish Government’s destruction of Scotland’s scenery by forcing through Industrial Turbine Sites (wind farms) against the wishes of local people. In particular we oppose the proposed EDF‐Airriequhillart project in Dumfries and Galloway. It is too close to existing homes and has poor road access. It will destroy a beautiful wooded, lowland valley, rich in wildlife, to produce an insignificant amount of electricity. Many millions of pounds will go to absentee landlords and the French Economy. We must . . .
Stop the reckless siting of wind turbines in Scotland’s scenic landscapes
http://chn.ge/VJ0gUn To: First Minister Salmond, Minister Ewing, Mr. Fraser and the Scottish People In 1849, John Muir, a young Scotsman emigrated to America with his family. He went on to become the driving force behind the protection of many of the national parks, forests and other pristine areas of wilderness here in the United States. Without this Scotsman many of the most glorious areas of North America (and all around the world) would have been lost to commercial development. The . . .

It is designed to complement existing campaigns and will hopefully help deliver a cohesive message, . . .

To sign, go to: epetitions.direct.gov.uk Responsible department: Department for Communities and Local Government We, the undersigned, urge the Government to resurrect the ‘Wind Turbines (Minimum Distances from Residential Premises) Bill’ by Lord Reay (HL Bill 17), which was dismissed in January 2012 after 2 readings. Whilst the issue of tackling climate change is an important one, it cannot be given greater priority than the health, safety and wellbeing of the people who would end up living in the shadow of . . .

Take action to stop onshore wind turbines damaging the countryside
Our new report highlights the dramatic proliferation of onshore wind turbines. In many cases these are damaging valued landscapes and intruding into some of the most tranquil areas of England. We must find a way of reconciling climate change mitigation and landscape protection – otherwise we will sacrifice the beauty and tranquillity of much-loved landscapes. Onshore wind mapping shows exponential growth in wind turbine planning applications, leaving local communities increasingly powerless in the face of speculative applications from big, well-funded . . .
