A truck transporting a large wind turbine blade crashed into a bridge on a road in Poland last week, bringing it down.
The incident occurred overnight on December 28th on Poland’s DK3/E65 highway between Dargobądz and Wolin in the north east. A beam on the bridge, which is currently under construction, was caught by the base of the 100 metre blade, pulling it off its stanchions. Thankfully no was hurt in the incident.
The driver was sober but has been blamed for not having lowered his trailer before passing under the bridge.
The following video shows more footage and photos of the scene.
