There are proposed plans for a new wind project in Delaware County.
ConEdison would like to construct three wind turbines about four miles west of Manchester (southwest of Highway 20). This commercial wind energy conversion system will consist of two GE 2.82 megawatt turbines and one GE 2.3 megawatt turbine. Service roads will be constructed from 230th Street leading to the turbine locations, with buried connector lines and several above-ground junction boxes and pad-mounted transformers too. Construction is anticipated to begin in the second quarter of 2021, with the project coming online before the end of next year.
ConEdison presented their plans for the Manchester Wind Project to the Delaware County Board of Supervisors last week, with hopes to submit their permit application to the Board of Supervisors for their approval next month.
