Champion releases wind farm’s obligation

WEST CARTHAGE – The town of Champion board during its December meeting authorized the supervisor to execute the release from road repair obligations between the town and Copenhagen Wind Farm LLC as recommended by the highway superintendent.
The wind farm was required to set aside funds for road maintenance and repair obligations when it requested the reopening of Boni Road Spur. Highway Superintendent Joseph Strife said the road had been constructed to town standards.
