Wind farms proposal is concerning

Credit:  Beatrice Daily Sun | Oct 11, 2018 | beatricedailysun.com ~~

A word of caution for the residents concerning the proposed wind industrial park, I’m from Dekalb County Missouri currently working in the Beatrice area.

Nextera energy blighted our county 2 years ago with 97 of these massive turbines, the closest is 1 mi. From my house and I deal with noise, vibration, flashing red lights on 3 sides all night long, plus never again will I enjoy a sunrise out my kitchen window without 5 turbines (that’s 15 giant blades) all jumbled together in the view.

This company will bully you with lawsuits if they don’t get there way and does nothing alleviate problems caused ( our local TV signals have been scrambled and my close neighbor has had sound readings of 90+decibels recorded from her driveway even though we have a zoning limit of 50). Some questions to ask are: who enforces zoning regulations?

Who is benefiting the most from this? Keep a close eye on your elected officials! Nextera loves to sign them up with huge $$ contracts with no mind at all to conflict of interest.

Most of these are 90 year contracts! It would be worth your time to drive south about 2 hrs and check out one of these massive installments, ask yourself is this really the heritage you want to leave your grandchildren?

Nextera has lawsuits against a township in Dekalb and Clinton county for simply trying to protect the property rights of non-participating landowners. They drag out proceedings with their hotshot lawyers from Kansas City bullying them at hearings and bleeding money from our small budgets.

But come see for yourself after all this has just been my observation and opinion.
