Two Nordex turbines have caught fire at EDF Energy Renewables’ Trimdon Grange wind farm in County Durham.
Distribution network Northern Powergrid said the fire on 14 June was caused by the turbines’ transformers.
The 5.2MW wind farm features four Nordex N60/1300 turbines with a tip height of 76 metres.
Trimdon Grange was commissioned in 2008.
