Officials, DTE confirm second potential wind project

HAZELTON TWP. – A second wind turbine development project may be coming to the Shiawassee County area.
According to members of the Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners, residents of the northeast quadrant of the county, encompassing Hazelton and New Haven townships, have been approached by a firm representing DTE Energy about signing land leases to build turbines on their property.
