Wasn’t wind farm about saving money?

In regards to the terrible news Cape Wind just received about NStar and National Grid both pulling out, one has to think back.
All of this first came into the news outlets well over a decade ago. The Cape Wind officials first touted this project as one that would “save the average Cape & Islands residents quite a bit on your monthly utility bill.” Then the winds began a-changing, as they say.
Now, Cape and Islands residents, instead of saving money each and every month on their utility bills, were going to be paying more! What! More? Wasn’t this about saving us money?
Cape Wind put up a good fight, but the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound fought harder.
Cape Wind: Going … going. …
