A meeting with landowners and the public set for 7 tonight in Hallam has been canceled, according to the village clerk.
Volkswind USA, the company that wants to build a wind farm on about 11,000 acres in southern Lancaster and northern Gage counties, had scheduled the meeting and invited neighbors concerned about the project.
Village Clerk Vicky Polak said Volkswind USA also withdrew its special use permit application for an area that was within Hallam’s one-mile zoning jurisdiction.
