Despite its possession of licenses in the energy sector, several projects of Boydak Holding have been canceled by the Energy Market Regulatory Agency (EPDK) during the investment process, before the projects had even begun, according to a report in the Hürriyet daily on Saturday.
Boydak Holding has also been banned from the energy sector for three years by the EPDK, which serves as Turkey’s energy oversight institution.
The projects whose licenses have been revoked include several hydroelectric power plants and wind farms.
The company entered the energy sector in 2010 and announced this year that it planned to expand its presence in the field.
