Huge wind turbine falls in Fayette County

A giant wind turbine has crashed to the ground in Springfield Township, Fayette County.
Emergency dispatchers said the turbine fell just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Witnesses said they heard a loud boom and felt their house shake.
Wind turbines have been growing in popularity in Fayette and Somerset counties. They can be more than 250 feet tall and weigh hundreds of thousands of pounds.
