An 18 year old Lowville man is accused of shooting a rifle at one of the wind towers within the Maple Ridge Wind Farm in Lewis County.
State police charged Joshua Stocking with one count of second-degree criminal mischief.
Stocking allegedly fired shots from a 7MM rifle at a wind tower located off of Snyder Road in the town of Martinsburg.
EDP Renewable Energy, owner of the wind tower, estimates the damage to the windmill to be in the several tens of thousands of dollars.
