A man was found dead hanging from the base of a wind turbine in the Ocotillo area, according to officials with the Coroner’s Office.
The 40-year-old man, believed to be in the country illegally, was found by Border Patrol agents who were following a group of people in the area, said Sgt. Thomas Garcia, Imperial County Sheriff’s Office supervising deputy coroner. The man, who was not identified, was found after 2 p.m. Thursday.
An autopsy was performed today, but the results are pending as toxicology has to be sent off.
