Pioneer Green Energy is asking permission to conduct surveys along the right of way of county roads to explore possible routes for electrical transmission lines. Our commissioners are encouraging citizens to attend this next meeting to express concerns and thoughts on the proposed industrial wind project.
Commissioner Marcie Foster encourages people to attend the next County Commission meeting (Monday, March 25 at 5 p.m.) but if that is not possible she is asking anyone who is interested in this matter to call or write the Commission office. The phone number is 256-927-3668 and the mailing address is Cherokee County Commission, 260 Cedar Bluff Road, Centre AL 35960.
Thank you to The Post for making this information available to the citizens of Cherokee County.
