Green Energy company Invenergy has planned an open house for Monday in Richville and a group of concerned residents plan to protest at the event.
Invenergy plans to discuss the proposed Reese Wind Energy Project.
The group, Citizens for Informed Decisions of Denmark Township, will be at the event expressing their opposition to the project.
The open house will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Richville Legion Hall on Sanilac Road in Richville.
Invenergy already operates a wind farm outside of Breckenridge in Gratiot County.
CIDDT spokesperson Mark Burkitt said “Wind Projects have divided many communities throughout our country and beyond. We are trying to avoid that in the Reese/Richville area.”
If you’d like more information on the open house at 312-582-1457.
