A southern Queensland MP wants his State Government colleagues to do more to address concerns about a local wind farm proposal.
AGL wants to install 115 turbines at Cooranga North, between Dalby and Kingaroy, but some residents are against the project.
The Member for Condamine, Ray Hopper, has told Parliament locals have genuine concerns that need to be addressed.
“Victoria has a two-kilometre policy, New South Wales has a draft two-kilometre policy, the Liberal Party in South Australia will put that policy in place if they win government,” he said.
“We need the Minister for Health to have a look at this and the Minister for Environment to also have a look at this.”
