Cape Bouvard will not proceed with its controversial plans for a wind farm in Lake Clifton because of negative community feedback.
A Cape Bouvard representative said fears expressed by residents that the turbines would destroy the tranquility of the area were among the reasons for terminating the proposal.
The company was to have built the turbines over their five Lake Clifton properties.
Residents were also concerned that property values would decline.
