DeKalb County planners don’t favor wind changes

AUBURN – The DeKalb County Plan Commission Wednesday voted 6-2 to send an unfavorable recommendation on a proposed amendment to the DeKalb County Wind System Ordinance that would reduce the setback for wind turbines from residential structures from 1,500 feet to 1,250 feet. The vote came after two hours of testimony and discussion on the amendment proposed by the DeKalb County Commissioners.
