I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Falmouth Board of Health for its unanimous decision to hold a hearing May 24 to determine whether a health emergency exists because of the wind turbines and determine if corrective action is necessary.
Those of us who are and have been negatively affected by these turbines have been steadfastly pleading with the board of health for its pivotal help for almost two years. It has repeatedly sent letters to state agencies for guidance, but has had no reply. The board has been stonewalled and ignored.
As a neighbor to the turbines, I know that dismissed, uncomfortable feeling. A sense of validation and encouragement is shared among my neighbors as a result of this upcoming hearing, and I want to acknowledge the persistent, conscientious work of the board of health on behalf of the residents of the town of Falmouth.
