A community group in Connemara will hold a public meeting next week to drum up support for the campaign against windturbines.
The Knockalough community group claims the proposed construction of wind turbines will have a negative impact on residents in areas such as Barna, Spiddal, Furbo, Moycullen and Roscahill.
Their concerns have been heightened after Galway County Council approved plans to build a 12 wind turbine farm at lands between Spiddal and Moycullen.
A public meeting has been scheduled for next Thursday the 3rd of May in the Forge Pub in Moycullen.
