Media boss Rupert Murdoch has joined in the political debate over whether t he UK Government should support the building of wind turbines.
During a series of messages posted on a social networking site at the weekend – where the 81-year-old mocked the UK government’s energy, education and tax policies – he described any support of the structures as “mad”.
“English spring countryside, as beautiful as ever . . . about to be wrecked by uneconomic, ugly, bird-killing windmills,” he said.
