A legal challenge has been mounted by a local authority against a recent decision by the Planning Inspectorate to approve the Nun Wood windfarm.
Milton Keynes Council has launched the legal challenge against the decision to approve Nun Wood, which proposes that 12 wind turbines be built stretching across villages in Milton Keynes, Bedford and Wellingborough.
Milton Keynes North MP Mark Lancaster described it as a “blatant slap in the face for localism” when he raised the decision at Prime Minister’s Questions.
And it is now to be used to test to see whether the new Localism Bill, really means that local decisions can no longer not be taken into account on planning matters.
