N OXON: Controversial plans for a wind-monitoring mast, which could pave the way for up to eight wind turbines, have been approved.
Cherwell District Council’s planning committee supported the plan for land north of Hanwell on Thursday.
Energy firm Regenco wants to put up the 60-metre high mast to gauge whether land could be used as a wind farm of five to eight turbines some 130 metres tall.
