LIMESTONE – Opponents of the proposed wind turbine farm in the town of Allegany dug in their heels Thursday and planned further strategies to stop the construction of the project.
The meeting, conducted by Concerned Citizens of Cattaraugus County, was held at the Limestone American Legion and attended by a couple of dozen members of the organization as well as residents of the area. During the meeting’s election of officers, Kathy Boser was named the new president of Concerned Citizens and Barry Miller was selected as vice president. Others also joined the organization at the meeting.
“We feel it’s important to have structure (with Concerned Citizens) because we have some battles to fight,” Mr. Miller told the group.
