A planning application for a proposed new windfarm, near Lesmahagow, has been submitted by Hamilton based Banks Renewables to the Scottish Government.
The Kype Muir Windfarm would be located on land that lies seven kilometres west of the village, the majority of which is currently used for commercial forestry.
After completing a range of site assessments, undertaking public consultation and reviewing different design options, Banks is proposing to build a windfarm which includes 26 turbines with a maximum tip height of 132 metres.
