Residents protest wind farm

ALLEGANY – “Make Love, Not Wind,” Wind Turbines Are Ugly” and “Wind Farms Spread” were just a few of the dozens of signs held by people who rallied Wednesday against a proposed wind farm in the town of Allegany.
About 100 protesters gathered in front of the Allegany Senior Center prior to a town meeting to discuss the results of a community survey. The survey had asked residents what future development they would like to see in Allegany, but had left out the question on whether they wanted the wind farm.
