Member for Hume Alby Schultz stuck by his guns in his opposition to the wind farms, or wind turbine industrial complexes as he calls them, when he spoke to Alan Jones on 2GB today.
A strong opponent of not just wind farms but also the mechanism by which they are approved, Mr Schultz went so far as to even criticise the current State Liberal government – his own party.
Of the O’Farrell government Mr Schultz said “they are, as far as my constituents are concerned, worse than their predecessors in as far as they have mislead their constituents and refused to honour their pre-election promises in the way of a moratorium and independent commission of enquiry into the whole issue.”
Mr Schultz believes that the democratic rights of landholders have been dismissed.
