South Australian Planning Minister John Rau says he will carefully consider whether wind farms will be excluded from development protection zones in the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale.
The Government is currently working through more than 100 public submissions on the proposed zones.
Some groups have expressed a desire for wind farms to be excluded by the legislation.
Mr Rau says the only thing he can say for certain is urban subdivision will be excluded from the zones.
“One of the things that we’re going to be discussing are what are the type of developments are we going to tend to favour or prevent?” he said.
“Now wind farms are certainly one discussion that we’re going to have to have.”
