A controversial bid to provide access to a moorland windfarm from a Shawforth road has been put on hold.
Windfarm giant Coronation Power has asked that plans for the track, leading to proposed turbines at Crook Hill, from the junction of Landgate and Market Street, now be deferred.
The company is currently pursuing an alternative option, which is centring on Middle Hill Quarry in the Littleborough area.
