Is it just me, or do those wind turbines you can see clearly from many parts of town look really ugly? It reminds me of “War of the Worlds.” Just wait until they are lining the mountainside down to State College. How scenic.
I am in favor of alternative energy within reason, but do we have to litter the hillsides with these monstrosities.
Just how efficient these machines are and is the cost worth losing one of the really nice things about the Blair County region, its beauty?
I know the turbine business is heavily subsidized by the federal government. The businesses may be trying to throw as many of these things up as possible before the funding dries up.
