Opponents of a scheme which could see a wind farm created on the edge of York are to hold a public meeting about the plans next month.
Green energy firm Banks Renewables is considering installing up to five 475ft turbines on farmland next to the A64 near Copmanthorpe and Askham Bryan, but the plans have sparked fears among residents about the noise and visual impact of the project.
More than 400 people attended an exhibition staged by the company.
The Copmanthorpe Wind Farm Action Group will now hold a meeting on Friday, April 8, at 7.30pm at Copmanthorpe Methodist Church to discuss the plans. More information is available by emailing info@copmanthorpewindfarm.co.uk
