On Sunday, December 12, I drove past the three 230 feet high wind turbines at the Blaen Bowi Wind Farm on Moelfre Hill, outside Newcastle Emlyn. I was extremely surprised to see all three wind turbines turning very briskly, even though there was no wind. They must have been motored using electricity from the National Grid, generated from fossil fuels. So instead of the wind turbines generating electricity to replace fossil fuels, valuable electricity generated by fossil fuels was being used to turn wind turbines.
I challenge the British Wind Energy Association [BWEA] to prove that I am wrong by publishing in this newspaper electricity production recordsfor Blaen Bowi Wind Farm between 9am and 11am on December 12.
